Assurance Builders was founded in 1998 with a commitment to provide our clients a personal and enjoyable home improvement experience. By offering professional workmanship and quality products, Assurance Builders has earned a reputation for excellent work and quality service. Our clients have enjoyed their home improvement process and many of them are repeat customers.

Assurance Builders continues a rich heritage of building in the Southwest. Founder and President, John Reuter, III is a third generation carpenter. John’s great grandfather worked at the Bisbee mine. Both of his grandfathers contributed to the construction of the Southwest; one worked on the construction of the Hoover dam and the other was a local union carpenter and worked on the University of Arizona. John Reuter, Jr went through the carpenter’s apprenticeship program after graduating from Tucson High. He was a licensed contractor in the State of Arizona and also a building inspector for the City of Tucson. He employed John Reuter III at an early age and taught him many of the carpenter skills he possesses today. John Reuter III continues the proud family tradition as a contractor today by owning and operating Assurance Builders.

Debra, co-owner and Vice President of Assurance Builders, continues a heritage of service and entrepreneurship. She moved to Tucson in 1993 and started working at the City of Tucson. During her time as a supervisor with the City, she developed administrative and management skills, specifically in system analysis and implementation. These skills have contributed towards Assurance Builders’ ability to develop systems and procedures to effectively deliver services to our clients.

Throughout our years in business, Assurance Builders has established successful principles to confidently assist our clients from the initial project concept to final completion. In 2015, Assurance added a showroom to better facilitate the project planning and selection phase for our clients. This is part of our ongoing effort to improve the quality of our products and service our clients in a holistic environment.
